David and his team are amazing!  He totally and immediately understood what we were looking for in a vacation and future retirement house, and with great patience and guidance showed us many homes.  He was so good at it, that I wanted to buy at least half of the ones he showed us.  Luckily, he was honest and clear about the pitfalls in each home and the benefits of each.  He took us through one offer + inspection, and was completely clear that the house would be a disaster if the owner did not fix a major retaining wall. That was not going to happen, so we got out of escrow and into our search once more.  The second one was a charm, and actually my dream come true.  We did a quick three week escrow with proper inspection and negotiation for necessary repairs and assurances.  Viola!  I moved in a little more than a week ago and could not be happier.

Thank you David, for making this a fantastic experience that will give our family joy for a very long time.

(P.S. I should add that I live in LA now, and he was able to help us on two different full weekends of looking, and he took videos of places on the market in the interim. He also was at each of the two homes to help the inspector get in and also for David to take a good hard look at each place. )

This is a review that is long overdue. When you need an experienced realtor in the Russian River area Dave should be on your shortlist. I've worked with other realtors in the area and Dave is the real deal. Honest, professional and thorough. When I decided to sell my cabin I reached out to my original realtor who barely seemed to have the enthusiasm to take my call. Thinking this was a bad sign I researched and reached out to Dave Millar. Best move I could have made. I listed with Dave, we went live on Monday and had two offers by Wednesday. I know this is not typical but Dave's pre-preparation for going to market obviously paid off. The transaction closed easily and quickly. I'm going to be looking for a larger place later this summer and Dave will be my go to guy. This could not have been a better real estate transaction.

This is my first Google+ review but I couldn't be more happy to do it for David Millar at Russian River Land and Home. After much thought my Wife and I decided to buy a home up in the Russian River. We actually started off on our own, looking at houses online and went to some open houses. We found a house we loved and were speaking directly with the listing agent. At one point we asked ourselves if we thought we even needed a Realtor to represent us. I realized though that not only was this our first home buying experience but we definitely didn't know the intricacies of the Russian River market. I looked around online and saw the positive reviews that David had so I gave him a call. Man am I glad I did. David proved to be consultative, helpful, and just all around nice to deal with. He was patient with us as we wanted to compare other houses before pulling the trigger on the one we loved. David took me to multiple open houses, asked the listing agents great questions, and gave me insight on stuff at the houses that I never would have thought of. Ultimately we decided to go for the one we originally loved. David advised and helped us settle on a good competitive offer (didn't push me at all to go higher than I wanted to). Offer accepted and David moved right into the paperwork. He explained everything and I was able to sign almost everything electronically which made it super easy to do from San Francisco. At one point our lender ended up delaying the process and David helped negotiate that with the sellers and their agent. Through escrow David took me out the house a few times and even hung out longer than he probably wanted to so I could do the walk-throughs, take measurements for furniture, etc... All in all David was a great partner and now looking back on our thought to maybe represent ourselves, we are so, so glad we made the choice to work with David.
